MEXICO 2009 part 1

FRIDAY AND SATURDAY 7-24, 25 (START AT THE BOTTOM AND SCROLL UP) It was a beautiful drive even though it didnt feel so beautiful going through the mountains around crazy curves in 15 passenger vans!
I love my camera! I took these pics through the window of the van!

Bellies full, ready to get back in the vans to ride some more. Shelbi, me, Mrs. Tammy, Joy, Emily, and Amanda
Bc of the language barrier, Bro David got a plate of raw shrimp instead of cooked.
The band played for us while we ate. They only knew one Christian song and it was the old hymn, One Day at a Time.
This is the restaurant where I gave John Norris his nickname, Hoover!
Truly authentic...

Shelbi, Joy, and Emily...the second row passengers
The van ride to Vicente Guerrero. Debbie and I enjoyed the front row of the van to ourselves...
The view from San Diego. We got a treat this year to fly into San Diego and spend the night instead of having to immediately drive to Mexico.

Seriously look at all those bags!
Dawn and I are great friends. We have so much in common in our personalities. I was very thankful to have her around.

Dawn reading the letter her girls stuck in her bag as a surprise.

The Yates girls
Traffic in Atl...fun times

John found his way of sleeping on the bus. If you could see how tall this kid is you would understand why I took this picture.

So funny. We got a charter bus for the drive to Atl. It's a treat since we can spread out and don't have to have luggage on top of us. Miranda was going to attempt to use the bathroom until she realized that it was like a sauna in there!

PRAY FOR MICHELE

Our Sunday School class went to see our friend, Michele, at Emory on Tues July 14th. She is 19 and was diagnosed with Leukmia (AML) on Wed July 8th, taken to Emory on the 9th and started chemo on the 10th. She has the best spirit about the whole thing. We know that God is working and He is the great Physician. Please pray for her when you get a chance.

SORRY FAITHFUL READERS

Hey everyone! Sorry I havent posted in a while. My internet has been down for 10 days at work. I can check email and stuff on my phone, but couldn't blog. I'm back now...at least until next Friday when I leave for my mission trip to Mexico. Pray God's will be done and lives changed for the glory of God! Love to you all!

MR & MRS DAN TILLMAN

Love you Dan!

The terrace

Very cool table decor!
The Reception...
I only took a couple of photographs during the wedding. They were so happy!

The ceremony
She looked so pretty, we were afraid to touch her.
Isn't she lovely...

Right before the wedding...
Amanda and the girls are back with their faces and hair all done up right!

The place had a belly flop contest for kids and Jeff and Missy were judges...too funny.
me and the boys hung out while the bride and bridesmaids were doing there thing. I was just happy to be away from the "real world".
The funny thing was Jim, Amanda's dad, and I had to drive the golf cart up to the inn and trade it for Amanda's car. We got some honks on the way!

Isn't it cute!
We were were enjoying ourselves.
We decorated the golf cart with puff balls and pink and black ribbon and a sign that Dan painted. Yes it was early in the am and dont really know what is posessing me to put this awful pic of myself out on the web except maybe the fact that it is already all over facebook.
Amanda, Cara, Roxanne, Ashley, and Melanie ready to practice
Amanda's mom and brother. Love them both!
Madison and Me before the Rehearsal. We bonded since we were always around and not doing the main wedding stuff.

I love my Mel!

Melanie, Amanda, Cara, and Ashley

The start of our pool/beach time...Thursday until the rehearsal and all morning Friday until the wedding! Woohoo! Madison and Roxanne

This is the view outside our condo.

I had a pic of all the girls outside the restaurant on here, but accidentally deleted it and it's too difficult to upload and get back in the same spot.

The Bridesmaid's Luncheon on Thursday morning.

We have so much fun together!

Ashley and Melanie were the last to arrive and ofcourse that's when the fun really began!

Madison and Matt, Amanda's brother

We started out on Wed with everyone arriving to celebrate Amanda's birthday!

Awww I forgot how great an actual vacation could be. I mean 5 solid days away from work and everyday Valdosta Georgia living! It was so refreshing. I was so thankful to be apart of Dan and Amanda's wedding extravaganza!
