Lady Antebellum!!!

6-11-11 Wild Adventures to see Lady Antebellum with my best friend, Stacey.
Three hot Ladies!!! Seriously it was like 100 degrees, but so worth it. Lacey, Stacey, and me before the show.

Charles, Hillary, and Dave (Charles and Dave are from Augusta, GA)

Dave can play a ton of instruments!
I love the passion behind their singing.

Check out her shoes...sparkly HIGH heels.

They sang some clips of songs that they wrote and other artists have recorded. Hillary was singing Stronger which Sara Evans has recorded. I love hearing all the back stories of the artists and seeing just how talented they are!
I will meet them one day soon!

Having a little fun!
"Need You Now"

At the end of a very hot night and sitting in Wild Adventures parking lot traffic for 1 1/2 hrs and I'm still smiling! I LOVE Lady A!! Now I'm contemplating a dive in a swimming pool :)

Random Fun

6-5-11 Sunday Funday at Aunt Susie's. We put Annyson down for a nap after lunch and then we watched a movie. Annyson's nap was about 45 min and then she was raring to go.

Aunt Susie/Grandma disappeared with A and came back with her dressed like this.
Aunt Susie was tickled at her, but Annyson was less than amused.
Eating an old hacky sak of Jay's and holding a Dukes of Hazard car.

Kristy was snapping these with my phone and A was quickly trying to get to her.

The end of the hacky sak

The happy parents

6-8-11 Stacey, Jen, Lauren, and I went to help Kasey pack up her house. They bought a house and are moving soon. We all got to love on Veyda. Stacey was feeding her before bedtime so I snapped this pic and sent it to her husband, Brian, with the caption "this is gonna be a reality soon". He replied back "she's probably gonna come out that big too." We all burst into laughter!

6-10-11 I've been cleaning out my closets and drawers lately. This is how many t-shirts I own after I purged. Ridiculous. I don't even like t-shirts. lol

6-11 and 6-12 I ended the weekend by housesitting for the Moormans which included lots of pool time! Saturday, Heather and I laid out by ourselves and Sunday, Heather and the girls came over. They are really progressing in their swimming abilities. I can't wait to see how well they do after a week of real swim lessons. No pictures were captured during these poolside events. :)

Anniversary & Engagement

6-1-11 Happy 9th Anniversary to my brother and sister in law. I love you and am thankful for you both. I pray God continues to bless your marriage! (Sorry the pic is from last year-all the other ones I could post include the twins so I wanted one with just the two of you.)

6-4-11 Quinn's getting married!!!! Quinn and I at her engagement party at The Scruggs' home. I should mention that it was like 97 degrees and 100% humidity and the party was outside.
me, Quinn, Jenny Taubel, and Katy Shaw
My dates for the evening. ha. Jenny and Edward Cochran
Love this Lady! So thankful God brought us together!
Who left the minivan door open during the party? lol. I guess Edward's not used to sitting in the back seat.
One shoulder dresses were the trend of the night! Jenny, Ashley Fielding, me, and Jenny Carroll
The happy couple...Joe Vallotton and Quinn Brindger
They really are perfect for each other. Two quirky characters!

So glad to see Elizabeth Rountree since she lives in Savannah now. She's always been a sweetheart to me and gave me a nice little piece of encouragement this night.

Memorial Day Weekend

5-30-11I was housesitting for the weekend, so the family came over to swim. These girls are just too cute!

Of course I reflected on all the men and women who have and are serving our country. I am so very grateful!
Two quotes I loved for today...

We cherish too, the Poppy red
That grows on fields where valor led,
It seems to signal to the skies
That blood of heroes never dies.
-- Moina Michael
John 15:13 (NIV) "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends."

All good things must come to an end...

5-22-11 It was an early morning start flying out of Eugene, OR. Whitney said we had to say goodbye ripping a band aid off. I still cried!
The Eugene airport had a cute, little baby play area.

I started out happy in the plane from OR to CA.

Hey Cali

I think by this point of the 5 hr plane ride from CA to NC....I wanted someone to give me a bottle and let me sleep. I did apologize to my family for not being in a good mood this day. Sadness + getting up early + traveling for technically 17 hrs (-3hr time change and lay overs) = a moody Heather! Maybe one day I'll learn to control my temperment...Yeah right!
Anyways, I hope you have all enjoyed the posts of our wonderful Oregon trip!
