James Eunice Fund

Since I know there were people who read my blog just for details about James, I thought I would post about the fund in his honor. Between the Alapaha, Little, and Withlacoochee Rivers, there are approximately 65 miles of river running through Lowndes County. There are also in the neighborhood of 30-40 ponds and lakes ranging from small fishing ponds of a few acres to lakes such as Ocean Pond and Lake Alapaha that encompass several hundred acres. Part of the reason it took the officials so long to find James was because they didn't have appropriate dive suits. The water was cold and without these special suits, the divers couldn't stay underwater for long. The family is trying to raise money for dive suits for our workers in Lowndes County. Taken from their brochure: "Our goal is 100,000. (1) Diver Sponsorship is $3000 Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated Checks should be made payable to "The James D Eunice Charity Fund" Please memo the bottom of your checks to read, "Divers Fund" Checks can be mailed directly to: Community Foundation of South Georgia P O Box 2654 Thomasville, GA 31799 All remaining proceeds will go towards "The James D Eunice Scholarship Fund."
If you can help this worthy cause, I know the family would be greatly appreciative!
